The Journal of the American-Irish Historical Society was a scholarly journal devoted to Irish settlers of America. Between 1898 and 1942, 32 volumes were published. They contain information that can greatly aid genealogists.

The Mesa, Arizona LDS Family History Center has published surname indexes to Volume 1-22. Their index is available at the Family History Library.

Genealogical Publishing Company has reprinted Michael J. O'Brien's articles from this journal (with an index by Thomas L. Hollowak) in the following publication:

  • O'Brien, Michael J. and Thomas L. Hollowak. Irish Settlers in America: A Consolidation of Articles from the Journal of the American Irish Historical Society. 2 vols. Baltimore, Maryland: Genealogical Pub. Co., 1979, 1993. Available at FHL.

Quintin Publications has created a CD containing all 32 volumes, which is also available at the Family History Library.
