Parish History

ULVERSCROFT, an extra-parochial liberty, in the union of Barrow-upon-Soar, hundred of West Goscote, N. division of the county of Leicester, 6 miles(W. by S.) from Mountsorrel. [1]

In 1870-72, John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales described Ulverscroft like this:

ULVERSCROFT, an extra-parochial tract in Barrow-upon-Soar district, Leicestershire; 8 miles NW by W of Leicester.
