Mark was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and has been a professional genealogists since November, 1982 with most of that time been in the Family History Library assisting individuals locate their ancestors. His area of specialties are England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United States. He has done research trips to England and is currently a staff member of the British Reference/Research Unit since June, 2000 at the Family History Library. He has a great understanding of the British Isles Collection housed in the Family History Library.
