Patsy Hendrickson, AG
Patsy began working for the Family History Department in 1975. She worked four years as a Spanish language microfilm evaluator, thirteen years as a Spanish cataloger for Spain and all Latin American countries except Mexico, three years in a Correspondence Unit, and the rest in United States and Canada Reference.
BA in Spanish with a minor in English from Brigham Young University, 1971.
Patsy is credential by ICAPGen in LDS Research since 2001. She has a certificate in Advanced Methodology from IGHR at Samford, University; and a certificate from NIGR at the National Archives in Washing DC.
Patsy has considerable experience in LDS research and in-depth knowledge of LDS sources in both the Family History Library, the Church History Library, and the Internet. She has taught on various LDS and United States research writing topics at conferences, expos and family history fairs including:
- Brigham Young University Family History and Genealogy Conference
- Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy
- Family History Expos: St. George, Utah
- Hispanic Conference held at Family History Library
She has spent many years researching her ancestral families in the United States primarily in the West, the South, and New England, as well as in England, and Finland. Much of the research has been focused toward writing their histories.
