| Melanie always has loved stories about her family, but first started doing serious family history research 14 years ago for a class at Brigham Young University. She began photographing headstones of family members in Utah and scrolling through microfilm on the microfiche readers in the family history library at BYU. She is an indexing volunteer for FamilySearch and is grateful so many records are available online today since most of her research today is done after her three young children are in bed.
