Beth Taylor works as a Research Consultant in the United States and Canada Unit at the Family History Library (FHL).
Beth's interest in genealogy comes from a fascination with family stories. As a child, Beth liked to listen to the stories recounted by her mother when relatives came to visit. Beth started dabbling in genealogy at the age of fourteen. When she entered college, she took several college courses on genealogy related topics. Beth has a BA of History from Brigham Young University, 2005, with a minor in sociology. Beth joined the Family History Department in August 2005 and the Family History Library in February 2006. Beth is currently pursuing credentials through the Board for Certification of Genealogists though she also plans to also obtain credentials through ICAPGen. Beth is very passionate about teaching classes on genealogy topics and enjoys the challenges of helping patrons at the FHL search for and find their ancestors.
