Edit summaries

Hi Wilma. Got a favor to ask of you. Going forward, will you please add edit summaries to your edits? This'll save me time from having to compare revisions each time I'm working on a page you're also working on. Thanks! RitcheyMT 05:24, 27 June 2011 (UTC)

Edit Problems

Your changes this afternoon to https://wiki.familysearch.org/en/Projects_Seeking_Contributors caused the border to be deleted on the United States table. When you made that change were you doing the edit in just that section or did you use the edit button for th whole page? Knowing which way you did the edit may help us understand the cause of the change. Darris G. Williams 21:08, 12 July 2011 (UTC)

Hi Darris. All I did was add Utah to the table. I'll admit I was tempted to change the table a bit, but did not. I usually do only the specific section when I edit. Looking at it again, I am certain it was in the specific area where the edits were made.AdkinsWH 15:25, 13 July 2011 (UTC)

Editing in the "section only" opens up a can of worms due to some problems with the FCK editor. It does not see some codes that it expects, then adds them in automatically when you save the work you are doing in that section. If the code existed in the preceding or following section then the page as a whole gets jumbled up. Fran has suggested that the section editing capability be turned off until the FCK editor is fixed but engineering has not moved on either request. It is possible, I think, to turn the section editing off in your preferences or just edit the whole page as a standard practice. We don't know that the disappearing table border is due to editing in the section only and will be reporting this problem for the Support Team to investigate. Darris G. Hi Sister Adkins,

Just checking to see if my "Salt Lake County" links are OK - if not please let me know.  Thank you for the time you spent with me last week. I have four missionaries who are getting involved besides me.
