Some users have reported that the red color of the article title links in search results are confusing because in a Mediawiki site, a red link means a link to a page that has no content. There is a poll on the forums as to whether to make the links blue instead, which would also conform to what Google and Bing do. == Jersey Parish Registers ==

Thanks for your work on this page. There are a couple of points where I think you are mistaken - to my knowledge there has never been a specific register for St Paul's, as it has never become an Ecclesiastical District church. (Jersey is very careful in its use of the word parish because it also has significant legal connotations). But I'm very new to this game and have no wish to tread on toes unnecessarily. --CIFHS 20:41, 5 February 2013 (UTC)

:Looking at the History file, I don't think I've ever created content for this page. I simply separted out existing content from another page, on the Channel Islands, into its Jersey and Guernsey components. Feel free to edit. --Bromaelor 11:02, 7 February 2013 (UTC)

Glamorgan

Regarding the Glamorganshire category, I have no interest in Welsh research and was only categorizing an uncategorized category. I did not create the category. If you would like to see a category re-named or deleted, please discuss it on the discussion page of that particular category. Thanks! Molliewog 17:07, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

 • Thanks. Already created by Darris. Bromaelor 18:09, 20 May 2008 (GMY)

Wales Category

I love the image you added to the Wales category page. This changes the experience for users in a positive way. There is a lot of catch up that other areas in the world will have to do, thanks to you! Darris 19:36, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

Skype

Regarding the making available of the Wales Study Group skype get-togethers you have, there is a way to do it.

Get 'Freecorder'. It's a program and a browser toolbar that allows you to hit a button and begin recording a Skype call, you can pause it, and resume the recording. The free version will only record two minutes but the paid version (about $20 US) will allow you to record the whole thing regardless of length.

Then you can distribute it however you find it convenient to do so, podcasts work, but also using YouSendIt or ssimilar large file distribution pages also work.

Need more info about this? Just drop a note on my talk page. JamesAnderson 17:05, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

 • Thanks James but I don't have Skype (or even a camera!). I'm just tidying up some of the pages. bromaelor 18:27, 24 May 2008 (GMT)

I saw some of the work, that's good stuff you're putting up there.

Skype is a free download, and calls from any Skype user to another are also free, and you don't necessarily need a camera, audio-only calls are also possible with a headset, available at most computer stores or from the shopping area on the Skype website itself. Using a headset will allow you to work on say, the wiki while talking to others about what is going on with it. Everyone else can do the same and you can all be working on the wiki at the same time. JamesAnderson 19:31, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

 • I know what Skype can do as several friends have it and I've seen it in action. However, as I'm already spending too much time in front of a computer, I feel that Skype, Facebook, MySpace, ... are innovations I can do without :-) bromaelor 12:16, 25 May 2008 (GMT)

Format of tables

I appreciate you explaining what each of them do (I do not know html)& when I get a chance I will go over each of the tables that I changed. Can you please check that the following is correct for me to use on those tables?

 • {| width="100%" border="1" cellspacing="0" style="margin: 1em auto;"

Deletion Template

Thanks for creating the deletion template! I have added a category to the functioning of the template, so that all articles that use the template are added to a category called Deletion Requests. This way, the sysops can more easily find the tagged articles. Molliewog 15:21, 1 September 2008 (UTC)

It was a "quick one" and is far from perfect. It needs more work to allow parameters to be past on! I'll try to improve it when I get time. bromaelor 12:04, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

Rights change

Because of your active participation, I have just given you moderator rights. I'm not sure what you were able to do with reviewer rights, but you can now upload images, delete pages, etc. Let me know if you don't want the rights, or if you have any other questions!
