Ireland Portal

The Ireland Portal now causes problems when viewed on Mozilla Firefox. The main data area overspills to the right and use of the horizontal scroll bar is necessary to read the contents. The right-hand menu floats on top of the text. The problem is not noticeable on IE7.

I did a temporary fix.  There is an error on that page, I don't know what is causing it.  See my note in Discussion on the Ireland page.

There was a problem with the 'Counties' section of the portal in that there was an attempt to display the counties in two different ways! The first part of the coding :

<div style="-moz-column-count: 3;">

which attempted to do so using three columns but this was immediately followed by

<div><br></div>

which does nothing??? Followed by:

{| width="97%" border="0" cellpadding="1" cellspacing="1" ...

which attempted to list the counties using a table! But a table within the previously defined columns!! I suspect that this is what caused the overrun!

Either a list or a table should be used but not both.

Can you explain what the final coding:

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 43, 184); text-decoration: underline;"></span>

does?
