Known Issues

Question #1: When I do a search for my ancestor I see two results with different marriage dates listed. Can you explain this?
Answer #1: There are two types of records in this collection, Applications for Licenses and Marriage records themselves. Many searches will show two results for a name with different dates. In most cases the earlier date will be an Application for the license, the later date will be the Marriage date itself. If the record details page shows a film number between 430319-430336 it will be the record for an Application for License.
