Knowledge is power. Lack of knowledge can spell disaster, at least for your societies web presence.

Webmasters have been known to quit suddenly. They are as susceptible to unexpected illnesses, injury or death as any other member of your society. So it is vital for your society to have up to date documentation on all aspects of your on-line presence.

Technical people seem to hate doing this, or do it poorly. It may be useful to ask a second member of your organization to review (or maybe even help create) such a document... This has the added advantage of insuring that another person in the organization is at least familiar with all of the various components of your on-line empire.
