In this course you will continue your key foundation research first introduced in the Introduction to Polish Research Course. Prerequisites for this course are to have looked at census records, ship manifests, WWI Draft Registrations, and you know the location and village of your ancestors birth, and the parish and civil registration records in Poland.
William the Conqueror invited Jews into England from Normandy around 1070, but the Jewish community of merchants and money lenders formed an uneasy relationship with the English crown and people. Medieval Jews were considered to be the king's property, and received certain protection, despite ruthless exploitation of their finances by the crown. However, their religious beliefs created suspicion that resulted in frequent persecution.
In this course you will learn how to research Polish individuals who were displaced during and after World War II.
