The third of a three-part series, this lesson will introduce to the FamilySearch online collections for South Africa. The class will discuss the types of records available, various ways on how to access the records, and how to use the collections. There will be a short quiz/activity at the end of the lesson; pause the recording when the question is read, work to answer the question asked, and then resume the recording for the answer. The handout includes the activity questions.
Step three is to grow your family tree by searching historical records on FamilySearch.org. Your ancestors' everyday milestones and experiences—like birth, marriage, and death—often created historical records that have been indexed and made searchable online. Use Search to find more details about the people in your family story.
