You may have asked yourself: “I can do a lot by myself, but is there somewhere I can go if I get stuck and need help?” “I feel like I have done everything I know how to do. Who can help me do more?” “What are family history centers for?” “Should I consider professional genealogists?” Using techniques discussed in previous episodes, you will be able to do a lot of family history work on your own. Sometimes, however, it is necessary to get help at a family history center or to work with a professional genealogist. In this episode, Jesse and Tom will show you the people available to help you solve your family history problems, as well as how to find them.
There are 11 individualized lessons that anyone can do to learn all of the basic and intermediate functions of Family Tree. There are written lessons and videos that when used together give the best experience. However, many individuals prefer just to watch the videos or just to do the written material. Some people do the whole set of lessons and then come back and review when they run into a problem and others only look at the material when they experience a problem and do not know what to do. You are free to use these videos and lessons as needed for your own Family Tree learning and training needs. The owner of these lessons keeps them as current as possible. However, he cannot accept requests to customize these lessons or videos for any specific group or individual.
