Juan Higuera, son of Elsaro Higuera of this city is dead in El Paso. A wire to that effect came to his father last evening. He was a Captain in the secret service of the federal government and it is supposed that he was captured by the rebels and executed. Some time ago, he was captured and placed in jail in Juarez, but was liberated upon the intercession of the American consul at El Paso.
The father of the dead boy is out at Tunico Mine and a messenger was sent out to him last night to notify him of his boys death.
Young Higuera was born and raised in Yuma and his father, mother and two brothers live here now. He was a young man of good habits and many friends and his untimely death is greatly deplored. The body will be brought to Yuma for interment.
