Peter Skeen was born in 1756 in Pennsylvania. His parents were Jonathan Skeen (1730-1827) and Susannah Rees. He married Sarah Sargent (1762-1849), daughter of Stephen Sargent (1747-1815) and Magaret Gold (1740-1815), 15 October 1779 in Caswell County, North Carolina. They had seven children. Peter died in 1826 in Russell County, Virginia. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Scotland, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
