Chiefly a record of some of the descendants of Richard Minchey. He was born ca. 1795 in Chowan County, North Carolina, to Dionishius Minchey and Penkum Spinkes(?). He married Frances Gains 15 Sep 1809 in Wythe County, Virginia. She was born ca. 1785 in Virginia to Richard Gains and Frances Taylor. They were the parents of seven children. She probably died before 1860. He died ca. 1872 in Tennessee.
