Joshua Fry (d.1754) immigrated from Somersetshire, England to old Rappahannock (now Essex) County, Virginia during or before 1726, and married widow Mary (Micou) Hill (she was a French immigrant). They later moved to Goochland County, Virginia. Descendants and relatives lived in Virginia, Kentucky, Illinois, California and elsewhere. Includes memoirs of Col. Joshua Fry (d.1754), the immigrant, and an autobiography of Henry Fry (1828-1823), one of his sons.

Includes Bullitt, Maury, Rives, Slaughter, Speed, Walker and related families.
