Microfilm of original records in possession of the the Provincial Crown Lands Record Centre, Halifax, Nova Scotia. .

Prince Edward Island was part of Nova Scotia until 1769. New Brunswick was part of Nova Scotia until 1784. The county of Sunbury, Nova Scotia covered most of what became New Brunswick. The county was re-established as Sunbury County, New Brunswick with its present boundaries in 1785.

Dates listed in this record for land grant registers are registration dates, not necessarily the dates of the grants which, in some cases, may be many years earlier.
