John W. Morris (1811-1870) and his family moved from Smith County, Tennessee to Hartford Township, Saline County, Illinois between 1850 and 1860. Descendants and relatives lived in Tennessee, Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Arizona, California, Oregon and elsewhere.
