Edward Cliburne was born 3 March 1621/2 in Cliburn , Westmoreland, England. His parents were John Cliburne and Margaret Penreth. He had two known sons, Edward and John, both born in Henrico County, Virginia in about 1650 and 1655. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Virginia, South Carolina, Mississippi, Tennessee, Texas and Missouri.
