Thomas Leachman was born in 1701 in Northumberland, Virginia. His parents were Thomas Leachman and Elizabeth Gralesse. His grandparents were T. Leachman and Mrs. Dellabow. He married Elizabeth and they had one known son, Leonard (1735-1806), who married Sarah Foster in 1764 and had seven children. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Virginia, Illinois, Kansas, Colorado, Texas, California, Oregon and Washington.
