Johannes Eberhard Kunkel was born 12 November 1722 in Flörsbach, Gelnhausen, Hessen, Germany. His father was Johann Niklaus Kunkel. He married Anna Margarethe Herr 19 January 1747. They had one son, Johannes (1749-1798) who was born in York County, Pennsylvania. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Germany, Pennsylvania, Kansas and Colorado.
