Samuel Curry was born 10 March 1810 in Chester District, South Carolina. His father was William Curry. He married Sarah Smith, daughter of David Smith and Sarah Neill, 23 August 1833 in Bloomington, Indiana. They had eight children. Samuel died 27 August 1882 in Winchester, Kansas. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Kansas and Indiana.
