Book contains abstracts of patents in which the county was not given but which might possibly pertain to Lower Norfolk, Norfolk, Princess Anne and Warwick counties.
In 1691 Lower Norfolk County was divided between Norfolk and Princess Anne counties. Norfolk County is now part of the independent city of Chesapeake. Princess Anne County is now part of the independent city of Virginia Beach. Warwick County is now part of the independent city of Newport News.
