Part of series: Early Mississippi coast families.

Traces the ancestry of the Moore and Cannette families. Early ancestors include Jean Faillard dit Lalancette (Fayard), a soldier of France in New Orleans during the 1740's; Jean Frederique dit Lafontaine, a drummer in the French military company commanded by Mr. Joachim de Gauvery that left for New Orleans in 1718; Jean Baptiste Baudrau dit Graveline who came to the Gulf coast area of Mississippi from Canada in the late 1690's; and Ramon Canet, who came to New Orlean in 1838 from Ciudadela, Menorca, Spain. Descendants lived in Mississippi, Louisiana and elsewhere.

Includes Fayard, Lafontaine, Graveline, Cannette, Moore, Parker, Groux, Ladner, Ryan, Dargary, Henkel, Hingle, Canet, Bullock and related families.

Includes birth, marriage, death, census, cemetery, and newspaper records for the Canet/Canett/Cannette family, p. 105-116.
