William Thomas Snider was born in Pennsylvania in 1788 or 1790. He was living in Blount County, Tennessee by 1814. He fought in the War of 1812. He married in about 1809 and had seven children. He married his second wife, Jamima, in about 1840 and they had two children. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Tennessee and Missouri.
