Burrell Grigg was born 29 July 1755 in Brunswick County, Virginia. His parents were Jesse Grigg and Nancy Webb. He married Sabra Elam, daughter of Joel Elam and Phoebe Hill, 8 October 1787 in Mecklenburg County, Virginia. They had sixteen children. Burrell died in 1837 in Bond County, Illinois. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Virginia and Illinois.
