Michael Prewitt, son of Andrew Prewitt and Agnes, was born in about 1720 in Henrico County, Virginia. He married Elizabeth Simpkins, daughter of John Simpkins and Elizabeth Rench, in about 1742 in Goochland County, Virginia. They had ten children. He married Mary Thurston 10 March 1778 in Halifax County, Virginia. He died in about 1808 in Kentucky. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in England, Virginia, Kentucky, Indiana, Missouri, Kansas, Texas, Colorado and California.
