In 1636 Lower Norfolk County was divided into 2 counties, Princess Anne and Norfolk. Princess Anne County is now part of the independent city of Virginia Beach. Most of Norfolk County is in the independent city of Chesapeake, although some parts are in the cities of Portsmouth and Norfolk.
Includes transcripts and abstracts of marriages, land and property records, probates, court records, taxes, and other records. Includes biographical and historical sketches.
