George Monroe Abell was born 29 October 1841 in Marion County, Kentucky. He married Malvina Stoner in 1868. They had three children. Malvina died in 1874. George married Lucinda Ludwell Able, daughter of Ludwell Linthicum Able and Lucinda Landers Carpenter, in about 1876. They had four children. George died in 1900 in Nelson County, Kentucky. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Kentucky with some living in Washington D.C., Texas, Wisconsin, Ohio, Colorado and elsewhere.
