David Phillippe was born 24 Jun 1812 in Wythe County, Virginia. He was a farmer and a surveyer and married first Jestiniah Creger on 18 Aug 1831 in Wythe County, Virginia. Jestiniah was the daughter of Henry Creger and Margaret Cline. She was born about 1815 in Wythe County, Virginia. Jestiniah died about 1845 in the same place. They had seven children. David married second Jane Porter on 28 Dec 1848 in Wythe County, Virginia. They moved to Johnson County, Tennessee. They had 13 children together. David Phillippe died 1 Jan 1892 and was buried in the Phillippe Cemetery in Johnson County, Tennessee. Jane Phillippe died after 1872. Descendants lived in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, Indiana, Illinois, Tennessee, California and elsewhere.

Hans Hensel Phillippe was born about 1599 in Volksberg, Alsace, Germany, and died after 1620 in Volksberg, Alsace, Germany. He married Anna Maria about 1618 in Volksberg, Alsace, Germany. Anna was born about 1600 in Volksberg, Alsace, Germany, and died unknown in Volksberg, Alsace, Germany. They had one child, a son, Philip Hensel Phillippe who was born in 1619 in Switzerland and died 27 May 1687 in Volksberg, Alsace, Germany. Descendants lived in Germany, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, Indiana, Illinois, Tennessee, California and elsewhere.
