受姓源流 : 周氏之後,邢鄚氏食於邢,後改為莫氏. 鉅鹿在周為邢國地,即今直隸省順德府.
始祖 : (宋) 莫若沖,字子謙.
益陽始遷祖 : (元明之際) 莫世閱. 明初由江西吉水遷益陽歧首市.
五大房祖 : 莫時昕,字東昉 ; 莫時旺,字前溪 ; 莫時憲,字正溪 ; 莫忠珪,字漢玉 ; 莫續彝,字民秉.
散居地 : 湖南省益陽縣等地.
