Daniel Jefferson Heldebrand was born 9 February 1813 in Orangeburgh District, South Carolina. He married Dorothy Permelia Parnell in 1836 in Centreville, Alabama. They had eleven children. He married Maty Jane Freeman and they had six children. He died 27 November 1900 in Bluff City, Arkansas. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Arkansas, Alabama and Texas.
