Thomas Newman was born in 1620 in England. He immigrated to Virginia in about 1648. He married Elizabeth Burdett and they had four children. He died in 1700 in Richmond County, Virginia. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Oklahoma and Texas.
