Robert Coleman (1620-1675/1680) emigrated in 1628 from England to Essex County, Virginia, married Elizabeth Grizzell, and moved about 1650 to Gloucester County, Virginia. Descendants and relatives lived in Virginia, Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C., Kentucky, Mississippi, Texas, Arizona and elsewhere.

Includes Covington, Graves, McCallum, McFatridge, Sutton, Waggener and related families.
