James Ardery (1748-1824), son of Alexander and grandson of William, emigrated from Ireland to Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, served in the Revolutionary War, married Anna Catherine in 1780, and moved to Bourbon County and then Nicholas County, Kentucky. Descendants lived in Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas and elsewhere.
