"This history primarily concerns ... [the] Adams, Floyd and Wood families of Pulaski and Casey Counties of Kentucky and the activities of the descendants of these families who migrated to Andrew and Gentry Counties of Missouri in addition to other locations throughout the United States."--P. 2. "David [1735-1788] and Sarah Floyd, planters, lived in Lincoln County, Kentucky. ... Rob Adams [1751-1816] and wife, Rebecca Wiley [1758-1817], came from the Carolinas to Pulaski County, Kentucky. Elias Wood [1788-1867], probably the son of Elias Wood who appears in the 1790 census of Wilkes County, North Carolilna came to Pulaski County and married Jane Adams [1793-ca.1860], the daughter of Rob and Rebecca."--P. 2. Descendants and relatives also lived in Louisiana, New Mexico, Tennessee, Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Colorado, Texas, Indiana, Ohio, Oregon, California, Iowa and elsewhere.
