Daniel Clark of Weaxil (near Kenilworth), England, immigrated to America in 1639 at age seventeen with his uncle, Rev. Ephraim Huit. He married Mary Newberry (1626-1688), daughter of Thomas and Jane Newberry, in 1644. They had ten children, 1646-1666. He married 2) Martha Pitkin Wolcott, widow of Simon Wolcott. He died in 1710 at Widsor, Connecticut. Descendants lived in Connecticut, New York, Michigan, New Jersey, and elsewhere.

Includes the Bushnell, Brewster, Cooley, Pelton, Pinney, Wylie, and other related families.
