Inneholder kirkebøker for Holt prestegjeld som omfatter Holt sogn. Omfattet også Tvedestrand sogn til 1902 som da ble eget prestegjeld; Tromsøy, Barbu og Østre Moland til 1747; Dybvåg og Flosta til 1812 da de dannet Dybvåg prestegjeld; samt Vegårshei sogn som ble overført fra Gjerstad prestegjeld i 1812 til 1828 da det ble ført tilbake til Gjerstad prestegjeld igjen.

Contains church records for Holt clerical district which includes Holt parish. Also included Tvedestrand parish until 1902 when it became its own clerical district; Tromsøy, Barbu and Østre Moland parishes until 1747; Dybvåg and Flosta until 1812 when they became the new Dybvåg clerical district; and Vegårshei parish from 1812-1828 when it was moved from Gjerstad clerical district and then back again.
