Richard Brough, son of Richard Brough (1786-1873) and Mary Horleston (1799-1879), was born in 1827 Stoke-upon-Trent, in Staffordshire, England. He married Rosannah Myatt, daughter of Thomas Myatt and Jane, in 1846. They had five children. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in England and Australia.
