Index and images of a Register of Confederate soldiers,sailors and citizens who died in federal prisons and military hospitals in the North,1861-1865. This collection corresponds to NARA publication, M918, one roll from Record Group 92 Records of the Office of the Quartermaster General. The register was compiled in 1912 in the Office of the Commissioner for Marking the Graves of Confederate Dead. The register is arranged by place of death then alphabetically by name. A table of contents will be found at the beginning of the volume.
