Robert Irvine immigrated from Scotland to Glenoe, Ireland in 1584, married Elizabeth Wylie, and was the great grandfather of seven brothers who immigrated to the United States between 1725 and 1731. The oldest brother, Thomas Alexander, landed at Philadelphia and settled in Bedford County, Virginia. Descendants of the seven Irvine brothers lived in Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York and elsewhere. Some descendants became Mormons and moved to Utah. Includes ancestry in Scotland.
