The information in these registers duplicates the information in the archdeacon's transcripts and original parish registers. Those records are cataloged separately under the name of each parish. These records are filed together for each year and arranged alphabetically by the name of the parish. Not all bishop's transcripts survived. Consequently, not all parishes will be found in the records for a single year. Sometimes, several years of entries from smaller parishes are filed under the same year.
