Micajah Greenfield DeBruler, was born in Maryland, in 1754, a son of George and Annie DeBruler. He served with Maryland forces during the Revolutionary War. He married Mary Hicks, daughter of Captain John Hicks, Sr. in 1783. Soon after their marriage they migrated to North Carolina. Their son, Greenfield DeBruler, was born in Granville County, North Carolina, in 1784. He married Sarah Wilson in Orange County, North Carolina, in 1811. They had twelve children. The family migrated to Pike County, Indiana, in 1829. He died at Winslow, Pike County, in 1850. Descendants lived in Indiana and elsewhere.

William Hargrave, was born in Sussex County, Virginia, in 1771, the son of Thomas and Letitia Hargrave. He married Sarah Ellis, daughter of William Ellis, in Sussex County in 1791. They had nine children. The family moved to Caswell County, North Carolina, in 1803 and to Pike County, Indiana, in 1818. He died in Pike County, in 1849. Descendants lived in Indiana and elsewhere.
