John Nation (ca.1694/1695-ca.1774) immigrated (as a bondsman) from England to New Jersey during or before 1711, and settled in Frederick County, Virginia thereafter. In 1754 he moved to Rowan (later Guil- ford) County, North Carolina. Descendants and relatives lived in Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Iowa, Missouri, California and elsewhere.
