Notes

Microreproduction of original published: Miami, Fla. : R.L. Achor, 1970. iv, 51 p.

John Acre Sr. (1758-1840) moved from Pennsylvania to Frederick County, Virginia, and probably married twice (to Mary ? and to Catherine Fetterling). They later moved to Green Township, Clinton County, Ohio. Descendants and relatives lived in Virginia, Ohio, Louisiana and elsewhere. In attempting to trace lineage to the immigrant ancestor, the author lists various immigrants with the name of Achor (or similar spellings) without tracing any linkage to John Sr.

"Sources:" p. 1.

Includes Cheramie and related families.
