Dielman Kolb (1648-1712) was born in Wolfshein, Baden, Germany and was buried in Manheim. Several of his children came to Pennsylvania. Descendants lived in South Carolina, Georgia, Louisiana, Tennessee, Alabama, North Carolina, Texas, and elsewhere. Charles Gates was born in 1738. He lived in Henry County, Virginia and later moved to Georgia.
