Contains Bondurant family Bible records, 1824-1959; a chart showing the relationship between the Bondurant and Jopling families; a brief history of the Jopling family in a letter from R.W. Jopling; Jopling family records, 1815-1897; and obituaries.

John P. Bondurant (1832-1892) was born at Liberty, Virginia. He married Mary Burton Logwood (1837?-1864), daughter of F. H. and Elisabeth Logwood of Bedford County, Virginia. They had six children, 1852-1864. He married 2) Mollie E. (Mary Elizabeth) Jopling (b. 1841) were married in 1865 at the home of William W. Jopling, Bedford County, Virginia. They had two sons, 1866-1875. John P. Bondurant died at his home in Augusta, Georgia. His son, Emmet Jopling Bondurant (1866-1926), married Martha (Birdie) Strong Moss (b. 1868), probably the daughter of Rufus L. and Elizabeth Luck_ Moss (m. 1854) and the granddaughter of John D. and Martha Strong Moss (m. 1824), in 1892 at Athens, Georgia. They had five children, 1893-1909. Includes Bondurant and Warren descendants.

Thomas Jopling emigrated from England with his three brothers, ca. 1730 and settled in Amhurst County, Virginia. He died in 1789. His grandson, James Jopling (1769-1852), son of Josiah Jopling (1747-1798), a Revolutionary War soldier, married Nancy Martin in 1793. They had thirteen children, 1794-1820. The family moved to Bedford County, Virginia, in 1806. Their son, William Ware Jopling (1818-1896) married Julia Ann Thomas (1821-1856). They had eight children, 1841-1856. He married 2) Sue Elizabeth Clayton. They had six children, 1860-1869.
