Two sons of Hans Hauer of Neureuth, Germany, Christoph and Bernard, were the immigrant ancestors to America. Christoph (ca. 1701-1780) married Eva Müller in Blankenloch, Germany in 1729. Hans Bernard (b. 1715) married Anna Maria Meinzer in 1737. They came to America about 1751 and settled in Pennsylvania.

Includes Clingaman, Naftsger/Naftzger, Nyman, Pownall, Reemsnyder, Treisch and related families.
